This piece came out nicely. It's one of your better in so far that the line art is integrated with the color job.

YAY!! thanks! I started to realize I was approuching this all wrong. So I had to do this three times until the light turned on in the ol' head

Hah, sometimes that's really just what it takes; doing it, and doing it, and doing it again. And maybe doing it one more time because something just clicks finally :)

What was the big techique change for you, you think?

I think it was realizing not to fill in with flate colors and then trying to shade in. I needed to just realize Art = Mess and I can clean it up. the artist that gave me feed back told me not to be afraid of colors and she was right I need to just get sloppy with it first then tone it up.

Yeah, I would die without the eraser tools!

Flat tone seems like a quick way to get it done, but it really just boxes you in with this sort of work, at least for me it does.

yeah I agree with you cause you feel rather limited on color

Exactly.

Now, sometimes doing flats is very useful; a lot of professional comic colorers (erm is that a word?) do flats, then do the shading and toning next. But I think it helps to get down 'n dirty before you get to that.

Wow this is really nice! you have an almost watercolour effect going on with the colour that really suits the character! Well done and keep practicing

One teeny nitpick, and a mistake I made on my recent ogre painting, her lower lip should extend around her tusk, in a little semi circle, instead of going straight. This will give more of an impression of 3 dimensions.

I like her lack of eyebrows

(I play a troll so I have a soft spot for them )

Wystro

This one is my favorite of yours thus far. I like that neutral, slightly warm background -- it really shows off all of your subtle work modelling the form.

Both are Totally Awesome Artist and I feel some much better that I am coming along with my art ^_^

Update
The Artist that gave me theother feed back on the other peices I have done just gave this to me

Your coloring is much improved with this one, and even though the background is straight color, the way you situated her and blended her torso is an improvement composition-wise!

I'd keep working on your line weight. This picture would go from pretty damn good to pretty damn fabulous if the lines were given more of a voice.
