Good thing all the swords we have are Starfires and would just leave a solid bruise...

Prime example of why you don't play bouncy ball in a room with a sword. Or allow a 15 year old to hang a sword in there room, if they are going to play ball in the house.

The article I read placed blame on the parents for hanging a "huge" 29" sword on the wall. One guy responded that he couldn't believe that someone would hang a sword on the wall.

He was then trounced by other posters who let him know that "huge" swords come in the 60" or greater size, and that swords are not out of the realm of normalcy for use as art.

Yes, a tragedy. Not the sword's fault. Don't play ball indoors if there's a sword on the wall. Don't hang a sword on the wall if you aren't careful with it.

Fear of exactly that happening was one of the big things that kept my gf in high school from hanging swords directly above her bed.
