Wacom: I need a new one

 Cintiq 21UX

Does any one know anything about this?
I mean it seems really cool

Or this Intuos3 12x12

If anyone can give me feed back on these and let me know that would be great!
Thanks!

Cintiqs are nice, though, amybe a bit overkill. By all means though, if you want one and can afford it, go for it, but I don't think they're going to offer you anymore functionality than a regular Intuos can.

I use an Intuos 3 6x8 at work, the 12x12 is too big for me. I don't like having to move my hand far to make a stroke.

I'm thinking you have a 4x5 Graphire? Yeah, those can be small. Those are marketed to those that just want to casually paint on their pc. Looks like you want more now. Also, the Graphires only have 512 levels of pressure. That's not sufficient. Intuos and the higher end Cintiqs have 1024 levels of pressure.

The Intuos is their professional line, followed by the Cintiqs.

A 6x8 is a good size if you have a 19 - 21 inch monitor. Again, though, it just depends on how much you want to move your hand. A 12x12 is pretty huge, but I encourage you to try it.

They sell them at Fry's. 6x8 intuos 3s are running around 200 - 300 bucks I think.
