Yeah okay ..Soo Today’s Topic

No this is not about religion or anything like that. This is just interesting twist in thought

What totem do you think would choose you? It can be real or mythical and why?

Crap.. I mis read that. For you I would have said Boar, I know it seems kind of weird but for me boar is a noble creature that the blunt force to shine light on things and continue to have pride and loyalties to the courts of nature

That's okay. I figured you wouldn't have posed the question to everyone else if it hadn't been on your mind regarding yourself.

Boar, eh? I can see that. Territorial and hardy as well, able to survive and thrive when introduced into new situations, able to naturalize reasonably well, dangerous when roused, but intelligent and crafty when domesticated.

Now to tell you who really walks beside me, it's Hawk at present. But until a few years ago, it was Puma. He finished teaching me what he had to teach me though, and moved on. I've been getting a tickling feeling of tiger recently, but I've been resisting looking in that direction, lest I become a walking cliche, you know? I mean my brother may call me Tora-chan, but there's already too damn many tiger grrls in this world, aren't there?

Now that seems fitting with all the life changes you have been going through ^_^

Tiger? Might be something there never hurts to look even if there are alot of Tigers out there, Maybe there is a life event lesson alot of people are sharing that need that asspect.

I know Phoenix is still there gripping on me and shaking me around sometimes.

Snow Leopard is stil lteaching me things I keep solitude in my heart that I am not willing to share, but learn to manage and not let fester.

But here is a question for you what do you think of the totems that would choose me at this moment?

a fire goddess with three breasts

0.o; Okay Neal I am taking away your pipe you freak

Been thinking about this overnight, actually.

I think porcupine would have a lot to teach you right now. Because contrary to the way it appears, porcupine is about playfullness, not defensiveness. It's about trusting its own natural defenses to keep it safe, so it can relax and actually enjoy things without having to be aggressive or chase predators away from it. Lessons we redheads have a bit of trouble picking up on our own, neh?

I wasn't gonna answer this either - because I know my totems & why they chose me. I have coyote, dragonfly, and cat.

Coyote - always tripping over themselves and joyful pranksters, but they always seem to survive it and teach a lesson.

Dragonfly - soars over the things that impede others, has a different point of view than most, and appreciates the time that it has

Cat - well, we all know what cats are like... Lol.

I chose the Tiger as my personal symbol to stoke me into action during my divorce 3 years ago & got the Chinese symbol for Tiger tattooed on my right shoulder. I invisioned myself becoming strong and beautiful and confident. It is my birth animal on the Chinese Zodiac Calendar (1974). I started this LJ during my divorce... and there ya go.

Seek out tiger if you feel she is calling you - if she's not ready for you, she will come back in due time.

Re: Ironically...
Well, I've had more than a couple of people say they felt I was a Tiger, and they weren't exactly blunts, so... *Shrug*.

Maybe the Striped One is padding along there. I don't know for sure. Although given the fact that I went from a priestess to a solitary in one month's time, it might have done then. Tigers are the most successful predators on land precisely due to their solitary nature, after all.

Re: Ironically...
Very true, Dear.

So listen to your instincts and embrace the journey.

Re: Ironically...
You actually have dragonfly? I didn't know that he stayed with anyone. I've only known him to visit, teach a lesson, and go away again. Cool.

Re: Ironically...
Not sure if he did stay... last I checked (which a year later... he was *still* there...) maybe it just takes me a long time to learn my lessons...
