Fire and Ice!
I have *got* to see what that program can do with frost and ice and snow and cold-lookin' stuff. Girl, Sinn and Rruk still need to make that trip to the Church, and I gots EARS now ;D

LOL, although at this point, I think Miaka and Yui might be easiest, and let's face it, we DO look like them...

Or, "Laylen Athol'tirithin"

The subject line's the name ClueGirl gave me (which I LOVE) and the above one is my character's true name (Rruk) and sorta-married name. (Elves are confusing whenever possible)

I've been spending the past four days trying to sort out Quenya and Sindarin and my brain is just a little fried. I stumbled across a reference that smooshes the two together about a year ago, and I didn't realize it until a few days ago. So now I've been trying to sift through the Quenya for Sindarin, and discovering that there's a LOT more Quenya than there is Sindarin.

Tolkien... *shakes head* ...was a damn genius. I just wish I was smart enough to follow his train of thought!

*has VOLUMES of etymology research now*

Well, YEAH.
I think Tolkien was a METAPHORICAL historian of *this* world. :)

And another thing...
It was based loosely on The Ring of Niebelung... which is also based loosely on history/mythology... One day, I'd love for us to unearth the roots of all the myths and legends we think nowadays are completely fictional. Gotta have a basis *somewhere*...

Usually, anyway.
